Tanya Stoyanova is an attorney with Garson LLP’s U.S. permanent residence team. She possesses fifteen years of combined experience as an attorney and a law clerk specializing in U.S. immigration and nationality law matters, including applications and petitions for various nonimmigrant classifications (B-1/B-2, E-2, E-3, F-1, H-3, H-1B, J-1, L-1A/B, O-1, P-1, TN); employment-based immigrant petitions; family-based immigrant petitions; applications for permanent resident status and citizenship.
As a law clerk, Tanya worked in the immigration practice group of one of the oldest and largest full-service law firms in the United States and handled a high-volume caseload of nonimmigrant and immigrant employment-based petitions for Fortune 500, mid-cap and emerging growth companies and their employees. Prior to joining Garson LLP, Tanya worked as an attorney for a U.S. immigration practice in Canada, specializing in applications for alien employment certification via PERM, employment-based immigrant petitions based on an approved labor certification (EB-2/3), and immigrant petitions for multinational managers (EB-1C). She also provided counsel pertaining to employees’ retention of permanent residence status during international assignments and assisted clients with permanent residence processing at various U.S. consular posts abroad.
Tanya’s experience includes conducting audits of existing and legacy I-9, Labor Condition Application Public Access Files, and other records for compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements as well as working on preparation of clients’ I-9 compliance programs and internal protocols.
Tanya’s pro bono efforts include participation in a successful representation of a client from the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville) seeking asylum in the United States.
