PROFILE

Jolene is a senior business immigration lawyer and manager with Guberman Garson  LLP, allied with Deloitte, specializing in providing global and domestic immigration services to both Canadian and foreign based multinational companies.  She represents companies and its personnel in the preparation and submission of applications for temporary and permanent resident status in Canada, as well as Canadian citizenship. She advises corporate clients with respect to cross border immigration planning and compliance matters.

 

EXPERIENCE

Jolene has in excess of 12 years of professional experience dealing with Canadian immigration and mobility related matters.  Her expertise includes assisting multi-national mining, oil and gas and energy companies by providing a broad range of business immigration assistance, including the provision of strategic advice as it relates to immigration and mobility policy development and the movement and access of business people to Canada from foreign jurisdictions for employment, business development, or foreign investment purposes.

 

Jolene has extensive experience dealing with companies regarding workforce planning, immigration due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, as well as employer immigration compliance. She also represents clients in immigration-related litigation, having frequently argued cases before the Federal Court of Canada.
